Day-Of Rally Info
-
Day-of registration will be available starting at 6:30 a.m.
-
The rally begins at 8 a.m. at 110 N. Trinity Street (in front of Trinity Street Coffee). See below for a full schedule of weekend events.
-
This course is hilly with significant terrain gains and losses. In Texas’ September heat, this means the longer routes can be a challenge even for experienced cyclists. Please study the topography and train in advance. Important note: The longer routes are not for beginners.
-
The safety of our riders is of the utmost importance. As part of our safety protocols:
Five rest stops will be available throughout the routes with water, oranges, bananas and other snacks.
We’re committed to supporting riders of all paces. Our routes will have designated completion windows to ensure full safety support and volunteer assistance throughout your entire ride.
Our safety team is designed with multiple layers:
Sag wagons follow behind riders on each route.
A motorcycle group from Guardians of the Children will patrol the routes.
A plane flies over the routes at all times during the race to keep an eye out for anyone in need of medical assistance.
Important: Should you need assistance at any time and you are alone on the course, lay your bike flat in an open area. Take care to not stand under a tree so our safety team can find you more quickly.
-
Parking is available around the town square. An email will be sent a few days before the event to a map of the area, including parking locations.
-
You’re welcome to bring whatever will help you feel comfortable. Refreshments will be provided along the routes. Please note: Helmets are required for the race — you cannot ride without one.
-
We believe community is built both on the road and around the table. Stick around after you cross the finish line and join fellow riders for a well-earned (and free) meal at one of Decatur’s participating local restaurants in Town Square.
